Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

This policy explains how QLD Design ("we") collects, uses and looks after personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles. If you have a question or a request, email mark@knightfitness.com.au.

What we collect

About businesses we contact

We look for local businesses using Google's business listings and the business's own public website. We collect business details such as the business name, address, phone number, website, Google rating, and the contact details the business has published (for example an email address or mobile number on its website), along with where and when we found them. We use the text and images on the business's current website to build a free website concept for it.

When you ask for a free concept

Your name, business name, email and/or mobile, and anything you tell us in the form.

Clients

Your contact details, the content of your website, the changes you ask for, and your billing history. Card payments are handled by Stripe: we never see or store your card number.

People who visit our clients' websites

If you use the contact form on a website we host, your message and the details you enter are sent to that business. To count visits and stop spam, we record a visitor code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on the websites we host.

Messages

We keep a record of the texts and emails we send and receive, including opt-outs and the consent or published contact details they relied on.

How we use it

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for anyone else's marketing.

Messages and opting out

We only contact businesses at addresses they've published or given us, and every message says who it's from. Reply STOP to any text or use the unsubscribe link in any email and we won't contact you again. Opt-outs take effect straight away.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run our service. They handle information for us, under their own privacy and security terms:

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Security

Information is stored with our providers using encryption and access controls. Our database can only be reached by our own systems. Client pages use private links that aren't shared with search engines.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing mark@knightfitness.com.au. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, tell us first; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change, and show the date it was last updated at the top.
